Employee Testimonials

I have had the pleasure of working at CCA for almost three years. People make a difference in our lives, not companies. That being said, CCA is the most employee-friendly organization who strives at all times to do the best by “their” people. We are treated fairly, our efforts are recognized and the room for advancement and personal growth goes well beyond anything I have ever witnessed. The extra touch of receiving birthday cards, special luncheons, outings, holiday parties and company activities makes everyone feel that they are part of the big picture and their contribution is important. CCA knows the value of treating their employees with respect and encourages participation in all social activities. I take great pride in working here and am grateful for the opportunity of being able to contribute to CCA. We are a company who has obtained great success already and are always on the cutting edge of new and exciting ideas.

Manchester, NH Administration Department

I came to CCA out of apparel buying with no experience in the floorcovering industry. And, after nine years with CCA, and having the previous experience of working with large and medium-sized organizations before, I have found that CCA offers advancement and entrepreneurial opportunities that most people would never see in a lifetime! They truly recognize hard work and talent. I refer to CCA as the “little-BIG” company to my friends and family because it is a growing company that still maintains a close-knit feeling among the employees.”

Product and Buying Department

I began working at CCA right out of college. I honestly took the job just to say I had a job. Fifteen years later I’m still here and cannot believe how lucky I was to find this place to work. People often ask me why I would stay at one company and not have experience anywhere else. The truth is, I’ve never been given a reason to leave. This company has allowed me to build on my career and experience new areas as I’ve developed. It has been exciting seeing the company grow over the years, and I look forward to seeing it continue.

I initially chose to work for CCA because I believed it was a small company with significant growth potential. My expectations were exceeded by the tremendous growth experienced by CCA over the past decade. My position within CCA has expanded right along with the company due to the willingness of upper management to promote qualified candidates from within the organization. A friendly, yet professional atmosphere makes working here enjoyable.

I started working for Carpet One by accident. I had just arrived in Atlanta, GA and received a three-day assignment at Carpet One through a temporary agency. The three days have turned into 15 years. The great thing about the company is they recognize skills and abilities and let you grow and aspire as high as you want to go. I started as an Administrative Assistant and am now Vice President of Operations. I have seen many talented people begin in staff positions and through hard work and desire, have risen in the organization. It is a company where you work hard, but enjoy the work because there is a spirit of cooperation among the staff and an openness with supervisors willing to listen and share information. CCA is not a static organization; we are constantly introducing new products, new programs, and acquiring new companies. It is a vital, ever-growing company and a great one to work for!

The first thing you notice when you come to CCA, is that you’re surprised by how large the company is - not in terms of number of employees, but in terms of its geographic reach, our diversity of business segments and the amount of resources we’re able to provide for our members/customers. This is truly one of the “largest-small” companies in America, in that we’re large enough to have a global footprint, but at the same time, Howard has maintained the integrity and value-driven culture normally associated with a smaller organization. We are unlike any other company you could ever work for, and that uniqueness creates a passion not only for all of us within the organization, but for our customers/members as well.
