NH Businessman Howard Brodsky Supports Catastrophically Injured U.S. Service Members

Manchester, NH

Howard Brodsky, CEO of CCA Global Partners and cooperative business leader, was recently awarded the Follow the Footsteps Award during the Inaugural Footsteps to the Future Gala hosted by the Stephen Siller Tunnel to Towers Foundation. The event was held at One World Observatory at the top of the World Trade Center in New York City on Thursday evening.

For the first time in the Stephen Siller Tunnel to Towers Foundation’s 15-year history, the non-profit organization held this special event to recognize the contributions and support of those who have helped it make a lasting impact in the lives of veterans, first responders, children and neighbors in need. The event will also spotlight the Tunnel to Towers’ Endowment initiative which is a vital component in ensuring that the Foundation’s critical work continues and thrives.

CCA Global Partners started working with the Tunnel to Towers Foundation in 2014 when their largest cooperative – Carpet One Floor & Home – agreed to provide flooring installations for all the smart homes the foundation builds through their Building for America’s Bravest program. To date, Carpet One Floor & Home stores have provided installations in over 30 homes and their partnership with the Tunnel to Towers foundation continues to grow as they find new ways to support the foundations efforts through fundraisers and evangelism.

The Follow the Footsteps Award recognizes a supporter who goes above and beyond and in following the footsteps of firefighter Stephen Siller. “On September 11th, in an effort to save others, my brother N.Y. firefighter Stephen Siller--who was off-duty when the World Trade Center was attacked--chose a path that exemplified courage, selflessness and great vision, “said Frank Siller, Chairman and CEO of the Stephen Siller Tunnel to Towers Foundation. “In the years since, Howard also has chosen a path that requires him to look far beyond himself to ensure the well-being of veterans and first responders. Acting upon those values that matter most, Howard — personally and through his leadership CCA Global Partners — has unfailingly demonstrated great vision and commitment in working with the Tunnel to Towers Foundation”

Other award recipients include:

  • Jeff Lorberbaum, Chairman and CEO Mohawk Industries, Recipient of the “Let Us Do Good Award”
  • Peter Dunn, President CBS Television Stations, Recipient of the “Tunnel to Towers Legacy Award”

“From the moment CCA was introduced to the Stephen Siller Tunnel to Towers Foundation, I’ve been inspired by their passion and dedication to America’s service members,” said Brodsky. “Working with this team has brought our organization together and helped us find a way to thank those service members who put so much on the line for us every day.”

The award was presented by Theresa Fisher, SVP of Visual Merchandising and Store Design who has been a leader of Carpet One Floor & Home’s efforts to support the Building for America’s Bravest program. The award was commemorated by a sculpture made of steel from the World Trade Center which will be displayed in CCA Global’s Manchester, NH office.
