Carpet One Floor & Home released its 2017 collection of pink ribbon welcome mats to support breast cancer research, with 18 new mats that are stylish, humorous or whimsical to marry with any home design preference. The Carpet One Welcomes Your Support campaign has been raising funds to support organizations and researchers searching for a cure since 2004 and has raised almost one million dollars so far.

Lending their talent to the initiative are Lisa Mende, one of Charlotte’s Top 10 Interior Designers of 2015 and Melissa Davis, Art Director and Series Designer for HGTV’s award-winning series Income Property. Justin Niederkorn, a senior designer for an international non-profit agency tapped his artistic talent and love for the women in his life to create a mat that graphically tells the important story of a breast exam. Mikayla Chandler, a sophomore studying advertising and illustration at Savannah College of Art & Design created a powerful image of lines that seem almost inter-connected, and resemble the shape of a breast, swoop of a cup and wisps of hair.

Like most families today, all designers are touched in some way by the disease, with Lisa Mende explaining, "I want to thank Carpet One for allowing me to participate in this campaign and continuing to aid in the fight against Breast Cancer.  We all should be so diligent as to get involved in the fight.  I urge everyone to support this campaign and buy a mat for themselves and for someone they know who is fighting or has fought this disease." Her design, is titled, “Hello, Gorgeous.”

Twenty-five percent of each sale will be donated to The Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF). Each mat is made in the USA complete with a sturdy rubber backing and a pink ribbon to remind people of the cause each mat stands behind.
