Miami's Kristi House Offices Receive A Design For A Difference™ Makeover

Local Businesses Join Celebrity Designer Mark Brunetz; Group Gearing Up For November Reveal

MIAMI – The Carpet Boutique announced that the local non-profit Kristi House has been named as the official recipient of a Design For A Difference™ Miami makeover. The interior design project is currently underway, with unveiling slated for November 6th.

Just in time for the holidays, the Miami-based nonprofit is getting a design renovation for its 3300 square foot space. The Carpet Boutique is spearheading the project which includes the pro bono work of top interior designers including Maggie Cruz of Maggie Cruz Home + Design and Sabrina MacLean of Hinojosa Design Studio both based in Miami. Other local businesses such as Vellum Design, Turen Closet + Cabinets, Arravanti, David Sutherland, CH Construction, The Lighting Studio, Kannoa, Holly Hunt, Nini & Loli and Twill & texture have also contributed to the transformation of the reception area, library, registration, kitchen, play area, patio, and dining room. play area, patio, and dining room.

The Design For A Difference™ makeovers are part of the International Design Guild (IDG), an alliance of the world’s finest showrooms specializing in the world’s best floor coverings. As a member of IDG, The Carpet Boutique serves as the local sponsor of Design For A Difference™. Celebrity designer and National Spokesperson for Design For A Difference™, Mark Brunetz, will be on-hand to film the reveal along with a professional production crew.

Design For A Difference™ is the only community-based, design-driven movement that spans both the U.S. and Canada.  Now in its 8th year, the initiative partners its socially conscious members with other businesses and interior designers to make over much needed spaces at local charities. Design For A Difference has transformed over 250 spaces at non-profits across the US in the last eight years.
