Carpet One Floor & Home will be holding its annual winter convention this week at the Gaylord National Hotel and Convention Center in Washington D.C. This will be a historic meeting of the members of the flooring industry’s largest retail group from North America, Australia and New Zealand.

The Convention marks Carpet One Floor & Home’s 30th Anniversary. Through 30 years, Carpet One Floor & Home has provided their independent business owners tools and programs to maximize their profitability and compete more effectively with home centers and national chains.

The Convention – themed Launch – will open with Education Day. A robust offering of courses featuring renowned business experts allows Carpet One Floor & Home members to choose the business topics they feel will most help their individual stores. During convention, members will preview new products, new technologies, and new updates to current programs like their exclusive SelectAFloor shopping system, and will network with over 120 suppliers and service providers.

To celebrate their 30th Anniversary, Carpet One Floor & Home will bring back the “80’s” with an evening event that will include exciting entertainment from The String Angels trio and The Capitol Steps political satire group. The members and Carpet One staff will also celebrate by dressing in 80s attire. A special store will sell 80s garb to members who need a last minute outfit. All proceeds will be donated to Building for America’s Bravest.

Friday is the closing day of the convention. A special presentation from Rudy Giuliani and update on Carpet One Floor & Home’s partnership with the Building for America’s Bravest program will close the convention on a motivating note.
