CCA For Social Good and the Bainum Family Foundation Partner to Develop Web Platform Strengthening Quality Child Care in Washington, D.C.

Manchester, NH

The Bainum Family Foundation and CCA For Social Good, a division of CCA Global Partners, proudly announce their partnership to build a shared resources web platform that will allow early learning practitioners in Washington, D.C., to reduce costs and share knowledge and tools. Upon launch later this summer, the site, Early Childhood Share DC, will be available to all licensed child development facilities within the District at no cost.

“Early Childhood Share DC will feature over 1,200 resources, including quality supports for the classroom and administrative resources in areas including HR, program administration, and training,” remarked Denise Sayer, Vice President of CCA For Social Good. “Pre-negotiated discount programs will help providers contain costs on early learning supplies and business services. This all-in-one-place collection of resources saves time and money, allowing the director to spend valuable time in the classroom working with children and staff.”

“A recent report issued by the Bainum Family Foundation showed wide disparities across the District of Columbia in terms of resources, supports and outcomes for infants and toddlers and their families,” stated Rozita Green, Chief Strategy Officer at the Bainum Family Foundation. “Many young children disproportionately face obstacles that impede their educational and developmental potential. Early Childhood Share DC is one of the many ways we are working to improve early learning resources and outcomes in the District of Columbia. We are pleased to be partnering with the Office of the State Superintendent of Education (OSSE) to bring this new resource to our community.”

“As the state education agency, OSSE is working diligently to meet the critical demand for high-quality early childhood education in the District of Columbia to prepare our youngest learners for success in elementary school and beyond,” said Assistant State Superintendent Elizabeth Groginsky, who leads the OSSE Division of Early Learning. “The shared resources we can offer through this online hub will take some of the burden off of the directors and home providers in our more than 500 child development facilities so they can focus on providing a quality education for the children they serve.”

The site will mark the twenty-fourth ECE Shared Resources platform that CCA For Social Good has developed for child care professionals across the country.
