Child Care Providers in Ohio Receive Access to 1,200+ Resources Through Launch of EarlyLearningResourcesOhio.org by CCA For Social Good and The Ohio Child Care Resource and Referral Association

Manchester, NH

CCA For Social Good, a division of CCA Global Partners, and The Ohio Child Care Resource & Referral Association (OCCRRA) are pleased to announce the launch of EarlyLearningResourcesOhio.org, an online platform to help child care professionals and programs in Ohio save time, save money, and improve the quality of care.

“What’s so exciting about Early Learning Resources Ohio is that everything a child care program in Ohio needs to run its program is organized in an easy-to-find and easy-to-use fashion, and is customized to Ohio State Regulations,” remarked Todd Barnhouse, CEO of OCCRRA. “Professionals do not have to spend precious time scouring the internet for a certain resource, or building from scratch. It’s already there, at their fingertips. Plus, resources are continuously added, and regularly updated to reflect emerging market needs and best practices for high quality child care.”

“Early Learning Resources Ohio is full of practical tools designed for child care directors, teachers, and technical assistants,” stated Denise Sayer, Vice President of CCA For Social Good. “We’re proud to support the important work of early childhood education professionals every day. Fewer moments spent on administrative details allows for more time to be spent in the classroom – which is what’s most essential. The handbooks, templates, and trainings available on Early Learning Resources Ohio will allow them more time to do just that.”

Some of the many Ohio-specific resources available on the site include tools to help professionals and programs advance through the state’s Step Up to Quality Star Rating System, information on local Resource and Referral agencies, Early Learning Standards and State Regulations.

The site is currently open to a pilot group; membership for all child care providers in Ohio will be available in the summer of 2016.

About The Ohio Child Care Resource & Referral Association

Incorporated in 1989, the Ohio Child Care Resource & Referral Association (OCCRRA) supports the leadership and staff of our CCR&R member agencies through training and activities that promote quality care and learning. OCCRRA participates in state–level efforts aimed at improving policies that impact early care, learning, and afterschool services. OCCRRA is governed by a board of directors comprised of representatives from our seven regional CCR&R agencies and up to seven community at-large members.  Statewide programs under OCCRRA's direction, such as the Ohio Professional Registry (https://login.occrra.org/) and T.E.A.C.H. Early Childhood® OHIO (http://teach.occrra.org/), provide services for professionals who work directly with children.
