CCA For Social Good Releases Toolkit to Support Meeting New CCDBG Requirements

Manchester, NH

CCA For Social Good, an operating division of CCA Global Partners, is excited to announce a recent expansion of the resources available to early childhood education professionals across the country through its ECE Shared Resources platform. The “CCDBG Toolkit”, unveiled at the 2016 BUILD QRIS National Meeting held in July in New Orleans, contains over 300 resources to support providers working to meet new requirements under the Child Care and Development Block Grant (CCDBG) reauthorization.

“At a recent U.S. Senate hearing, Deputy Assistant Secretary Linda Smith told the committee that final regulations on CCDBG were likely this fall and that all state waiver requests for health and safety training were rejected. Members of Congress seemed in agreement that health and safety protections for children were the core of the new law,” stated Grace Reef, Child Care Aware of Virginia’s policy and shared services expert. “In Virginia, we partnered with CCA For Social Good in 2014 to customize the shared resources platform for providers in our state because of the abundance of materials that could immediately help providers meet and sustain licensing requirements, quality rating system criteria, or just strengthen the quality of care, including business practices.  The CCDBG toolkit couldn’t be a better example of how this platform continues to be a growing, living source of support and knowledge for the industry. It’s easy to access format and easy to understand materials are simply unparalleled.”

The CCDBG Toolkit was developed to help practitioners easily access information and training in key areas including business practices, family engagement and health and safety requirements. Resources available include policies and procedures, guides, forms, templates, trainings and checklists that support CCDBG compliance. The toolkit is currently available to the thousands of providers, in 17 states, that access a “customized” version of the ECE Shared Resources platform.

“ECE Shared Resources is an extensive knowledge hub of tools that supports the needs of early childhood education and care professionals. To support CCDBG implementation, we focused on the development of this toolkit as a proactive resource for providers working diligently to meet the new standards,” stated Denise Sayer, co-innovator of the platform and Vice President of CCA For Social Good. “The resources and knowledge we develop promote best business practice and support the work of these dedicated professionals, so they can put more time in their day and return attention to what matters most, providing the highest quality of care to the children they serve and increasing positive outcomes for children. We are thrilled to release another comprehensive set of tools to the community.”
