World Affairs Council Honors CCA Global’s Howard Brodsky with Global Leadership Award

Prestigious award given to an individual who expands global connections while promoting international knowledge and understanding

Manchester, NH

The World Affairs Council of New Hampshire (WACNH) presented its 2019 Global Leadership Award to Howard Brodsky, co-founder, chairman and co-CEO of CCA Global Partners. The award was given at the annual Global Forum on May 19 at Southern New Hampshire University.

CCA Global is a national and international leader and trendsetter in cooperatives. Building on their people before profits vision and model, the company helps family businesses effectively compete with large businesses by pulling them together under the cooperative model. Brodsky’s mission has always been to help entrepreneurs succeed in an unpredictable global market by providing them with the scale and innovations they need to survive.

Brodsky was joined on stage by last year’s Global Leadership recipient, Paul LeBlanc, who presented this year’s award at the 2019 Global Forum. US Senator Maggie Hassan and Congressman Chris Pappas were also in attendance and made congratulatory remarks.

“Howard is an international pioneer in the cooperative business model and has dedicated his career to help small business owners and entrepreneurs be successful through the use of co-ops. As we move forward in a gig economy in a world where people will be fending for themselves more frequently, cooperatives may just be the best answer and I feel like the world might be catching up to Howard Brodsky,” LeBlanc said.

Since 2014, Brodsky founded and is chairman of Cooperatives for a Better World to life. This international program helps independent businesses around the globe work together to create economies of scale by participating in cooperatives. The cooperatives are able to better market their goods, secure lower costs for their inputs and ultimately sell their products across countries. Brodsky also leads the initiative CCA for Social Good, which is currently servicing over 20,000 childcare centers and 650,000 children.

“I want to offer my thanks and congratulations to Howard Brodsky. Thank you for the passion you bring to your work and for the vigor that you express on what a cooperative model can do” said Senator Hassan.

The WACNH presents the annual Global Leadership Award to a business, organization or individual who has shown leadership in promoting international knowledge and understanding in the community, all while expanding New Hampshire’s global connection.

“It’s an honor to be here to recognize the great work that Howard Brodsky does in helping small businesses thrive in their marketplace. The cooperative model is a compelling alternative to the traditional corporate structure that empowers workers and communities by giving them a real stake in the successes of their businesses that exist near them,” said Congressman Chris Pappas.

Brodsky has proven himself as a leader who engages with the world in order to help build a stronger global community in Manchester.

“I am truly humbled to receive the 2019 Global Leadership Award from the World Affairs Council,” said Brodsky. “CCA Global takes a world view on social justice and a more equal society and works to help bring scale and opportunity to family businesses and organizations across the world. This enables them to better serve their markets by helping them level the playing field. Receiving this prestigious award helps validate that we are doing the right thing and making a positive impact at the global level. On behalf of the entire CCA Global team, I want to thank the World Affairs Council for this recognition.”
